This partnership marks a new phase of the successful anti-poaching project which began with the protection of endangered species from poaching in Africa. The 100% solar powered, quiet and fast heavy-duty motorcycles engineered for wildlife conservation now expands to include the protection of trees and nature of the Amazon rainforest. With the solar chargers provided by innovative renewable energy company Goal Zero.
The devastation caused by illegal deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time, and the Electric Bush Bike Anti-Poaching Initiative aims to combat it head-on. By utilizing specially developed electric off-road motorcycles, the initiative will enable quiet patrolling of the vast and remote areas of the Amazon rainforest that were previously inaccessible using traditional monitoring methods.
“The motorbikes are very useful for our surveillance team, which does the territorial monitoring process in defense of the forest. In addition, by using these fuel-efficient motorcycles, we contribute to climate change having less of an impact on the world. On behalf of all our forest guardians, we are very happy with this partnership.” says Dadá Borarí, Chief of the Maró Indigenous Territory and Head of Forest Guardians Program for the Treesistance.
“We’re delighted to collaborate with CAKE on this initiative. The Forest Guardians put their lives on the line during each patrol and the CAKE electric motorcycles will enable the community members to travel silently through the forest, providing an extra level of security. We believe these types of brand partnerships are essentail to tackling the challenges being faced, whilst also igniting the public imagination and inspiring other businesses to contribute towards environmental activism and support of Indigenous peoples.” says Tom Wheeler, Executive Director of Treesistance.
”The Electric Bush Bike Anti-Poaching Initiative is a groundbreaking project that combines technology and environmental conservation in a way that has never been done before. By working with Treesistance, we hope to create a model that can be replicated in other parts of the world to combat illegal poaching & deforestation and protect the environment.” Stefan Ytterborn, CEO and Founder of CAKE.
The initiative is a significant step forward in the fight against illegal deforestation in the Amazon rainforest and will help protect the rainforest’s trees and nature for future generations. By the end of August 2023, the electric off-road bikes will be fully operational and put to use, marking a new era in the fight to protect the Amazon rainforest.

We’re proud to join forces with Dilmah Tea in the form of special edition 100% Ceylon tea in support of the Treesistance forest guardians. 100% of all sales being donated to frontline nature defenders.
This is another great example, showcasing how brands of all shapes and sizes can make a difference, proving our motto that you don’t have to be in the forest to join the fight.
Dilmah was the first producer owned tea brand that would offer tea handpicked and packed at origin (where it’s grown), ensuring great taste and natural goodness; making it one of the finest teas of the world. Their business philosophy – is a matter of human service – is what makes the brand the first ethically produced tea.
