Deze samenwerking markeert een nieuwe fase in het succesvolle anti-stroperijproject, dat begon met de bescherming van bedreigde diersoorten tegen stroperij in Afrika. De terreinmotoren, die speciaal ontwikkeld zijn voor natuurbescherming, worden nu ook ingezet voor de bescherming van de natuur in het Amazonewoud. Het zijn 100% zonne-energie aangedreven, stille en krachtige terreinmotoren. Dit gebeurt met de zonne-opladers van het innovatieve bedrijf Goal Zero, gespecialiseerd in hernieuwbare energie.
De verwoesting door illegale ontbossing in het Amazonegebied is een van de meest urgente milieuproblemen van onze tijd. Het Electric Bush Bike Anti-Poaching Initiative gaat deze crisis daadkrachtig te lijf. Het initiatief maakt stille patrouilles mogelijk in de uitgestrekte en afgelegen gebieden van het Amazonegebied, die voorheen ontoegankelijk waren met traditionele monitoringmethoden.

The initiative is a significant step forward in the fight against illegal deforestation in the Amazon rainforest and will help protect the rainforest’s trees and nature for future generations. By the end of August 2023, the electric off-road bikes will be fully operational and put to use, marking a new era in the fight to protect the Amazon rainforest.
In samenwerking met de Braziliaanse mixoloog Márcio Silva hebben we de ‘Pindorama’-cocktail gecreëerd, geïnspireerd door het inheemse verzet. Het project is bedoeld om de zichtbaarheid van Forest Guardians te vergroten bij bezoekers van hotels, bars en restaurants en om fondsen te werven.
About Márcio – He is the only Brazilian to lead a Brazilian bar in the list of the 50 best bars in the world in 2019 (Guillotina 15th position), also in 2019 Márcio was elected as a “Man of the Year” by GQ Brasil magazine for the work developed in the Brazilian market.
In 2020, he was nominated Top 10 Bartender of the Year” by Tales of the Cocktail – Spirited Awards of New Orleans in the USA. After selling his bar, he hits the big screen as host of ‘Bar Aberto’, a Reality Show now in its third season.
In 2021, Márcio was recognized as a leader in global cocktail culture by the Tales of the Cocktail – Spirited Awards of New Orleans in the USA.
He is 4 years in a row as one of the 100 most influential people in the beverage and bar industry in the world by the renowned magazine “Drinks International” – Top 100.
Samen met het internationale netwerk van IR Global hebben we een sponsormodel opgezet voor de Forest Guardians. Dankzij de steun van IR-leden konden zes nieuwe teams worden opgericht, die al meer dan 1500 km² regenwoud actief beschermen.
