Ele foi criado em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com\nuniversidades e ONGs brasileiras para identificar e reduzir os danos sociais e ambientais,\ninclusive o crime. A estrat\u00e9gia de desenvolvimento se concentrou no acesso \u00e0 justi\u00e7a e na\nmelhoria do Estado de direito.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2014, as primeiras comunidades tradicionais que vivem perto de pontos cr\u00edticos de\ndesmatamento foram equipadas com c\u00e2meras GPS \u00e0 prova d'\u00e1gua, carregadores solares e banco\nde energia. Isso permitiu que elas tirassem fotos de atividades florestais ilegais. Em 2016, uma\nequipe de vigil\u00e2ncia de doze membros locais coletou evid\u00eancias de GPS de atividades ilegais em\nseu territ\u00f3rio, o que levou \u00e0 remo\u00e7\u00e3o de todas as ind\u00fastrias extrativas ilegais. Esse modelo pode\nser replicado em outras \u00e1reas, especialmente em \u00e1reas ind\u00edgenas e outras \u00e1reas protegidas com\nfronteiras de GPS.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a24e55 elementor-hidden-desktop elementor-hidden-tablet elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1a24e55\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Forest Forces crime prevention strategies and model was born during a scientific green criminology project in Brazil (2010-2016), funded by the Dutch NWO-WOTRO Science for Global Development Program. It was set up in collaboration with Brazilian universities and NGOs to identify and reduce social and environmental harm, including crime. Quando imagens com refer\u00eancia de GPS de\natividades florestais ilegais foram apresentadas ao Instituto Brasileiro de Meio Ambiente\n(IBAMA), um helic\u00f3ptero foi enviado ao local das atividades ilegais no mesmo dia. Oito\nconcess\u00f5es de explora\u00e7\u00e3o madeireira foram canceladas e empresas madeireiras foram expulsas\ndo territ\u00f3rio ind\u00edgena como resultado das evid\u00eancias registradas. O projeto-piloto mostrou que\na prote\u00e7\u00e3o florestal local, mesmo em \u00e1reas remotas sem eletricidade ou redes telef\u00f4nicas, pode\nser realizada por comunidades solid\u00e1rias com Esse\npode ser um processo longo, mas a boa not\u00edcia \u00e9 que, quando uma reivindica\u00e7\u00e3o de terra \u00e9\nprocessada no tribunal, ela automaticamente congela a terra, o que torna ilegal para qualquer\nind\u00fastria extrativista continuar a derrubar a floresta. Eles recebem treinamento do cacique Dad\u00e1\ne de sua equipe (treinamento ind\u00edgena entre pares) sobre o uso de equipamentos t\u00e9cnicos,\nt\u00e9cnicas de redu\u00e7\u00e3o de tens\u00f5es, confronto seguro e seguran\u00e7a. A quantidade de pessoas aqui\n\u00e9 vital, pois eles precisam superar o n\u00famero de invasores ilegais.
