A aldeia Takuara do territ\u00f3rio Munduruku est\u00e1 localizada \u00e0s margens do Rio Tapaj\u00f3s, no estado do Par\u00e1, na Floresta Nacional (FLONA) do Tapaj\u00f3s. O territ\u00f3rio foi reconhecido e apoiado pela Portaria n\u00ba 568 de 11 de maio de 2016. Cerca de 200 pessoas vivem na aldeia, sendo atualmente mais de 50 fam\u00edlias. A \u00e1rea residencial est\u00e1 concentrada nas margens do Rio Tapaj\u00f3s, e a maior parte do territ\u00f3rio \u00e9 coberta por floresta.<\/p>

Os Munduruku vivem nos estados do Par\u00e1, Amazonas e Mato Grosso h\u00e1 s\u00e9culos e hoje somam\naproximadamente 14.000 pessoas. Eles habitam florestas \u00e0s margens de rios naveg\u00e1veis em\nv\u00e1rias partes de terra demarcadas e n\u00e3o demarcadas. Eles est\u00e3o concentrados principalmente\nna demarcada TI Munduruku (2.382.000 ha). O territ\u00f3rio foi demarcado e registrado desde\n2004. No entanto, as cidades pr\u00f3ximas, como Itaituba, h\u00e1 muito tempo s\u00e3o um centro de\natividades ilegais, incluindo explora\u00e7\u00e3o de madeira, minera\u00e7\u00e3o, grilagem de terras e tr\u00e1fico\nilegal de drogas em terras ind\u00edgenas. A cidade vizinha de Jacareacanga \u00e9 a principal porta de\nentrada para a TI Munduruku e para a TI Sai Cinza e se tornou um ponto de explora\u00e7\u00e3o\nmineral, incluindo mangan\u00eas, cobre, bauxita, ouro, n\u00edquel e estanho. Alguns Munduruku vivem\nna TI Sai Cinza, que faz fronteira com a TI Munduruku, mas que ainda n\u00e3o foi demarcada.\nOutra \u00e1rea menor, a TI Sawre Muybu, sofre atualmente contesta\u00e7\u00e3o. A demarca\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1\nparalisada desde 2016. A TI Kayabi faz fronteira com a TI Munduruku ao sul e corre ao longo do\nrio Teles Pires. Mais acima do rio Teles Pires, a constru\u00e7\u00e3o das usinas hidrel\u00e9tricas de Teles\nPires e S\u00e3o Manuel destruiu cemit\u00e9rios e locais sagrados dos Munduruku em 2017-2018.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Em outubro de 2021, um membro da comunidade disse: 'As viola\u00e7\u00f5es dos direitos do povo Munduruku da aldeia Takuara intensificaram-se no per\u00edodo da pandemia de COVID-19. Com pouca supervis\u00e3o por parte dos \u00f3rg\u00e3os competentes, muitas pessoas n\u00e3o ind\u00edgenas t\u00eam roubado diversas toras de madeira de \u00e1rvores que s\u00e3o derrubadas ilegalmente... [causando-nos] v\u00e1rios danos materiais e imateriais, pois para n\u00f3s, povos ind\u00edgenas, nosso territ\u00f3rio n\u00e3o \u00e9 um supermercado onde as pessoas chegam, enchem seus carrinhos e saem. Trago como preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o que a viola\u00e7\u00e3o de direitos e a demora no procedimento administrativo tendem n\u00e3o apenas a continuar, mas a piorar.<\/p>
