Igualmente importante \u00e9 detener a depend\u00eancia de combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis que agora s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios para tudo, desde ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o, carregamento de dispositivos, armazenamento refrigerado, at\u00e9 viagens de grandes dist\u00e2ncias entre as comunidades. Os custos dos combust\u00edveis aumentam significativamente \u00e0 medida que se viaja mais para o interior. Isso mant\u00e9m os povos ind\u00edgenas em um ciclo de pobreza e vulner\u00e1veis \u00e0 explora\u00e7\u00e3o.

\n\n\nOs custos mensais de energia s\u00e3o consider\u00e1veis e est\u00e3o aumentando, deixando as comunidades vivendo de m\u00eas a m\u00eas, incapazes de economizar para solu\u00e7\u00f5es alternativas. Nosso objetivo \u00e9 quebrar esse ciclo, formando o fundo de energia renov\u00e1vel 'TreeGreen', com o qual poderemos substituir os geradores a gasolina\/diesel existentes por sistemas de energia renov\u00e1vel, fornecer treinamento t\u00e9cnico para indiv\u00edduos dentro da comunidade. EQUIDADE DIGITAL \/ COMUNICA\u00c7\u00d5ES <\/h3>

As comunica\u00e7\u00f5es e o acesso \u00e0 internet s\u00e3o essenciais no que diz respeito \u00e0 preven\u00e7\u00e3o de crimes florestais, bem como para sa\u00fade, educa\u00e7\u00e3o, com\u00e9rcio e outros aspectos. A localiza\u00e7\u00e3o remota de muitas comunidades as coloca em perigo diante daqueles que desejam extrair e explorar recursos.

\nCome\u00e7ando pela preven\u00e7\u00e3o de crimes florestais, a Internet e as comunica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o essenciais\npara transmitir as coordenadas de GPS \u00e0 pol\u00edcia federal em tempo real, para que os\noperadores ilegais possam ser removidos\/presos. Al\u00e9m disso, o acesso \u00e0 Internet nas escolas\nlocais possibilitar\u00e1 uma melhor educa\u00e7\u00e3o e a possibilidade de os jovens permanecerem em\nsuas comunidades em vez de irem para a cidade (o que \u00e9 caro, afasta-os de sua cultura e pode\nexp\u00f4-los a influ\u00eancias externas negativas). Por fim, muitas mortes podem ser evitadas e um\nmelhor tratamento pode ser fornecido se as comunidades tiverem a capacidade de entrar em\ncontato com os servi\u00e7os de sa\u00fade. \n

\nA internet via sat\u00e9lite (Starlink) \u00e9 cara, inst\u00e1vel e gera v\u00e1rias quest\u00f5es \u00e9ticas. Por isso, junto com a Rhizomatica, estamos implementando um novo modelo que utiliza r\u00e1dio HF. Esse sistema oferece comunica\u00e7\u00e3o segura e criptografada, al\u00e9m da capacidade de enviar materiais de \u00e1udio, texto e visuais por meio de uma ampla rede regional (conectando muitas comunidades por uma fra\u00e7\u00e3o do custo, com um sistema criado para a floresta tropical). Al\u00e9m disso, pode haver um centro de comando central conectado \u00e0 internet, que pode enviar qualquer mensagem recebida, em tempo real, para as autoridades competentes. Muito se fala sobre a necessidade do ocidente ter consci\u00eancia ambiental, mas a realidade \u00e9\nque nosso futuro depende das pessoas do sul global. N\u00e3o podemos esperar que as pessoas em\nsitua\u00e7\u00e3o de pobreza continuem protegendo a natureza e o ecossistema do qual nosso planeta\ndepende, sem nenhuma possibilidade de um futuro melhor.

\nPortanto, precisamos ajudar a tirar os povos ind\u00edgenas da pobreza. \u00c9 por isso que as\ncomunica\u00e7\u00f5es e a transi\u00e7\u00e3o da energia renov\u00e1vel s\u00e3o componentes vitais de nosso modelo. Em\nsegundo lugar, embora as comunidades ind\u00edgenas estejam comprometidas com a defesa de\nsuas terras e da natureza, precisamos pensar em implementa\u00e7\u00e3o e impacto multigeracionais.\nIsso significa criar um ambiente no qual os guardi\u00f5es da natureza sejam pagos por seu\ntrabalho de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de seu territ\u00f3rio. Isso pode ser feito na forma de cr\u00e9ditos de\nbiodiversidade ou por meio da cria\u00e7\u00e3o de modelos de desenvolvimento econ\u00f4mico\nsustent\u00e1vel, como financiamento pr\u00e9-colheita, ecoturismo, artesanato etc. Cada grupo\nind\u00edgena tem culturas, habilidades e desafios diferentes, portanto, a abordagem para cada\ncomunidade \u00e9 personalizada e feita em consulta com eles.
