Tom is de uitvoerend directeur van Treesistance. Zijn verschillende zakelijke ondernemingen hebben een ethische kern en hij heeft een ecosysteem ontwikkeld dat de bedrijfswereld verbindt met filantropie en gezamenlijke actie. Indigenous Relations Coordinator<\/p><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Viviane Denise Lopes Corr\u00eaa is bekend als Viviane Borari. Zij behoort tot het Borari-volk van Alter do Ch\u00e3o. Viviane is cultureel producent, regisseur, fotograaf en muzikant en actief in sociaal-ecologische en culturele projecten. Naast eigenaar van Apoena Audiovisual (@apoenafotos) is ze lid van het collectief van Inheemse Vrouwen As Karuana (@As_Kauana), dat bestaat uit verschillende etnische groepen uit de Baixo Tapaj\u00f3s-regio in het westen van Par\u00e1. Hoofd Forest Guardians<\/p><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Dad\u00e1 Borar\u00ed is een gevierde inheemse leider van het Amazonegebied. Hij is het hoofd van het inheemse Mar\u00f3-gebied (420 km2) en wordt beschouwd als een van de belangrijkste leiders in de regio. Vorig jaar was hij te zien in de film The Letter. Hierin zie je hoe hij werd geselecteerd als vertegenwoordiger van het Amazonegebied en de inheemse bevolking om de paus in het Vaticaan te ontmoeten (meer dan 8 miljoen keer bekeken). Jesse heeft een achtergrond als filmmaker, journalist en reclamevrouw. Zij heeft haar roeping gevonden in het organiseren van gemeenschappen en het cre\u00ebren van ruimte waarin individuen kunnen gedijen. Jesse trad in 2020 in dienst bij The Sinchi Foundation en is sindsdien betrokken bij de strategische en creatieve ontwikkeling en het beheer van activiteiten en projecten. Braziliaanse co\u00f6rdinator<\/p><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Wallacy Barreto is een ondernemer die zich richt op duurzaamheidsinitiatieven. Hij werkt sinds 2014 aan sociaal-ecologische projecten met een focus op gemeenschapsontwikkelingsinitiatieven in het Amazonegebied. Hij zet zich in voor diversiteit, gelijkheid en inclusiviteit. Momenteel studeert hij Rechten, ongelijkheid en klimaatbeheer aan de Federale Universiteit van Bahia.<\/span><\/p>

Katherine Evans is a corporate and commercial lawyer with 30+ years of experience. After starting her career as a shipping and international trade lawyer, Katherine went in-house with telecommunications giant AT&T, where she held a number of positions in their international law group, including as international counsel for the AT&T Solutions network outsourcing business. In 2006, she left to form her own legal practice, which today supports companies all over the world wanting to contract or arbitrate with a specific focus on the technology, telecommunications and infrastructure industry sectors.\u00a0<\/p>

Vandria Borari is an Indigenous ceramic artist and Indigenous leader, working to defend the rights of Indigenous peoples. Internationally, she brings together art, culture, territory, and environmental justice in defense of the Amazon and in addressing climate change. She was one of the founders of the Maparajuba Association for Human Rights in the Amazon, established in 2020. From 2023, she served for three years on the Board of Directors of Corporate Accountability, an international organization working to challenge corporate abuses by transnational companies. She is also part of the \u201cMake Polluters Pay\u201d<\/em> campaign, a Latin American platform advocating for accountability from transnational corporations. She is a member of the As Karuana Indigenous Women\u2019s Collective and the Borari Kuxiimawara Indigenous Association, based in the Alter do Ch\u00e3o territory. She holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law from the Federal University of Western Par\u00e1 (UFOPA).<\/p>
