Par\u00e1. In de staat Par\u00e1, in het National Forest (FLONA), aan de oever van de Tapaj\u00f3s-rivier.\u00a0<\/p><p>Deze ongerepte natuur ligt slechts op 100 kilometer afstand van de stad Santar\u00e9m. De oppervlakte van het Munduruku Bragan\u00e7a \/ Marituba-territorium is 14.000 hectare. De inheemse bevolking bevindt zich in het Tapaj\u00f3s National Forest.<\/p><p>Binnen het gebied wonen meer dan 60 inheemse families in de 2 dorpen. Maar er is een fundamenteel verschil tussen een oerbos en een bos dat is ge\u00ebxploiteerd. In de eerste fase van de houtkap worden de bomen met het meest waardevolle tropische hout gekapt, dit hout staat genoteerd op internationale markten.<\/p><p>De tweede fase bestaat uit het exploiteren van het resterende hout. En de derde en laatste fase is de volledige verwoesting van de vegetatie, meestal voor de industri\u00eble landbouw of extensieve veeteelt.
