Estas comunidades, situadas a orillas del r\u00edo Tapaj\u00f3s, en Aveiro, un municipio de 17.158 km\u00b2 y unos 15.000 habitantes, se reunieron para reforzar su defensa frente a las amenazas externas a sus tierras.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1829\" height=\"2560\" src=\"https:\/\/treesistance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Chief-Dada-Borari-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6364\" style=\"width:513px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/treesistance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Chief-Dada-Borari-scaled.jpg 1829w, https:\/\/treesistance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Chief-Dada-Borari-214x300.jpg 214w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1829px) 100vw, 1829px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>La formaci\u00f3n, a la que asistieron m\u00e1s de 50 participantes, se centr\u00f3 en la defensa territorial, la creaci\u00f3n de mapas y el trabajo de campo con tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles y c\u00e1maras GPS. Aunque el proyecto fracas\u00f3 en \u00faltima instancia, sirve como recordatorio de los intentos externos de industrializar la Amazonia y de las presiones duraderas sobre los recursos naturales de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un frente unido para el futuro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el apoyo de Treesistance, las comunidades de Munduruku Cara Preta y Maytapu est\u00e1n mejorando su capacidad para proteger su tierra y su cultura.
