esp\u00edritu protector de la selva\", aunque su significado para los nativos es mucho m\u00e1s profundo y enigm\u00e1tico. Como una entidad sagrada, sus poderes m\u00e1gicos determinan, en \u00faltima instancia, lo que les sucede a aquellos que se adentran en la selva. La misi\u00f3n de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas es respetar y proteger la selva y, al hacerlo, se respetan y se protegen a s\u00ed mismos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-75f6019\" data-id=\"75f6019\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-47403df elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"47403df\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El grupo ind\u00edgena Borari lleg\u00f3 a este territorio remoto, donde los Arapiuns ya viv\u00edan desde siglos, despu\u00e9s de huir de la pobreza de Alter do Ch\u00e3o (una tierra predominantemente Borari, aproximadamente 30 kil\u00f3metros al oeste de Santar\u00e9m, la ciudad capital del Bajo Tapaj\u00f3s, en Par\u00e1, Brasil).<\/p><p>Recorrieron el r\u00edo Arapiuns hasta sus nacientes y, desde all\u00ed, siguieron el curso del peque\u00f1o r\u00edo Mar\u00f3, que da nombre al territorio. El grupo est\u00e1 compuesto por unas 300 personas repartidas en tres aldeas: Novo Lugar, Cachoeira do Mar\u00f3 y S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9.
