La aldea Takuara del territorio Munduruku est\u00e1 ubicada a orillas del r\u00edo Tapaj\u00f3s, Estado de Par\u00e1, en el Bosque Nacional (FLONA) Tapaj\u00f3s. Territorio reconocido y apoyado por la Ordenanza n\u00fam. 568 del 11 de mayo de 2016. Unas 200 personas dentro del pueblo, siendo m\u00e1s de 50 familias actualmente. La zona residencial se concentra a orillas del r\u00edo Tapaj\u00f3s y la mayor parte del territorio se concentra en bosques.<\/p>

Los munduruk\u00fa han vivido en los estados de Par\u00e1, Amazonas y Mato Grosso durante siglos y hoy comprenden aproximadamente 14.000 personas.29 Habitan bosques en las m\u00e1rgenes de r\u00edos navegables a lo largo de m\u00faltiples extensiones de tierra demarcadas y no demarcadas. Se concentran principalmente en la TI Munduruku demarcada (2.382.000 ha). El territorio ha sido demarcado y registrado desde 2004. Sin embargo, las ciudades fronterizas, como Itaituba, han sido durante mucho tiempo un centro de actividades ilegales, incluida la explotaci\u00f3n maderera, la miner\u00eda, la apropiaci\u00f3n de tierras y el tr\u00e1fico ilegal de drogas en tierras ind\u00edgenas.
